Job Title: Tax Officer

Job Summary
- This role is focused on ensuring accurate and timely compliance with
statutory tax obligations across all business units.
- Key responsibilities include managing monthly and annual filings for
PAYE, VAT, Pension, CIT, EDT, PTF, and WHT, maintaining comprehensive
documentation of remittances, and downloading weekly WHT credit notes from
the FIRS server.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with monthly and annual filing of all statutory dues
(PAYE, VAT, PENSION,
- CIT, EDT, PTF & WHT) in respect of all units and ensure
documentation of all relevant support and proof of all tax remittances.
- Responsible for weekly downloading of “WHT credit note” from FIRS
server for all units and as may be required by direct superior manager.
- Maintain an up-to-date database on tax-related payments (staff PAYE,
Pension and Dev.
- Levy, WHT) and collate information for tax return filing.
- Interface with account officers and collect tax data to update tax
records.
- Visit the local tax office under the direction of his/ her superior
- Ensure weekly reports on tax-related positions and updates.
- Manage both tax audit-related files.
- Other assignments by the superior Manager and Head of Tax Cell.
Requirements
- Education: BSC/ HND Accounting
- Professional Qualification: ICAN Intermediate
- Experience: Two – Three years’ experience in the same position.
