Job Title: Facility Manager

Location: Ogba, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced, proactive and technically competent Facility Manager to join our team in Lagos.
  • The successful candidate will take ownership of the hospital's facilities, utilities and physical infrastructure, ensuring they remain safe, functional, reliable and well maintained with minimal disruption to patient care and hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.
  • Oversee electricity, generators, water supply, plumbing, HVAC, elevators, lighting, drainage and other facility infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and proactively identify and resolve defects.
  • Ensure prompt response to breakdowns and critical facility emergencies.
  • Monitor generator performance, fuel consumption, electricity and water usage.
  • Supervise maintenance personnel, technicians, contractors and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and fire-safety requirements.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and implement appropriate cost-control measures.
  • Monitor contractor performance and verify completed work.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, utility and infrastructure records.
  • Support renovation, refurbishment and facility-improvement projects.
  • Provide timely facility management and performance reports.

Qualifications & Experience

  • B.Sc. / HND in Facility Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Estate Management or a related discipline.
  • 5–8 years' relevant experience in facility/property/maintenance management.
  • At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience in a hospital, healthcare facility, hotel, industrial facility or other 24/7 critical-service environment will be a strong advantage.
  • Relevant professional certification in Facility Management, Engineering, HSE or Project Management is an added advantage.
