are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: General Manager
Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time senior leadership position in Gwarinpa, Abuja
(includes evenings, weekends and public holidays).
Reports to the Owner / Board of Directors (Directly manages all department
heads)
Core Purpose
- Serve as the chief operating leader and custodian of the brand,
culture and results. Hold full accountability for guest experience,
financial performance, team excellence and operational discipline across
the entire venue (restaurant, grill, wine bar, games lounge,
entertainment, conference room and open-air space). Build Cedar Grillz
into Abuja’s benchmark venue and create the systems that enable national
and international scaling.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, recruit, coach and develop the entire team; build a
high-performance culture
- Own guest satisfaction, brand consistency and reputation management
- Own the full P&L: revenue, margins, food/beverage/labour costs,
budgeting and forecasting
- Oversee all daily operations across kitchen, floor, bar, games and
entertainment
- Implement and enforce SOPs, service standards, cash controls and
inventory discipline
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, licensing, tax and
labour regulations
- Drive growth initiatives (events, conferences, corporate bookings,
new revenue streams)
- Build scalable systems, documentation and training for future
locations
Requirements
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Hospitality Management,
Business Administration or related field
- Preferred: MBA or postgraduate qualification; international
hospitality school training is an advantage
- 6–8 years in hospitality, with at least 3 years as General Manager,
Operations Manager or Assistant GM
- Proven track record managing P&L, teams of 20+, and high-volume
operations
- Experience launching or scaling a venue is a strong advantage
- Strong commercial acumen, leadership presence and systems
orientation
