Job Title: Finance & Operations Officer

About the Role
- We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented and commercially
aware Finance & Operations Officer to join our client’s team in Lekki.
- The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance and
accounting, with practical audit experience and the ability to support
both the financial management and day-to-day operational activities of the
business.
- This is not a purely accounting role. We are looking for someone who
understands financial controls, reconciliations, reporting, audit,
compliance and business operations, and can take ownership of
responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, bookkeeping and accounting
records.
- Prepare periodic financial reports, schedules and management
accounts.
- Perform bank, cash, receivables and payables reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow and support effective cash management.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and expense monitoring.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation
of transactions.
- Support internal and external audit processes and provide required
schedules and documentation.
- Review financial processes and identify control weaknesses,
discrepancies and potential risks.
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls and operational
procedures.
- Support statutory and regulatory compliance activities.
- Monitor operational expenses and ensure adherence to approved
budgets.
- Coordinate administrative and operational processes to ensure smooth
day-to-day business activities.
- Liaise with banks, vendors, auditors and other relevant stakeholders
when required.
- Investigate financial discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
- Support management with financial analysis and other business
performance reports.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial and
operational records.
- Perform other finance and operations duties as assigned by
management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related
discipline.
- ICAN qualification or currently in view is mandatory.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, audit or
financial operations.
- Practical audit experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and
reconciliations.
- Experience preparing financial reports and supporting audit
assignments.
- Good understanding of internal controls, compliance and financial
risk management.
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical ability.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be willing to work fully onsite in Lekki, Monday to Friday.
Salary
N500,000
monthly.
