Job Summary
We are hiring a strategic and experienced Deputy Business Head to oversee business operations, drive profitability, and expand market share in the Cereal and Food Products segment (Milling, Pasta, Baking Solutions, Specialty, and B2C Products). The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, manage financials, and build strong client and market relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Growth:
Develop and execute business plans focused on profitability and ROI
Expand into new markets across Nigeria and West Africa
Analyse trends, competition, and demographic shifts to identify opportunities
Operational & Team Leadership
Oversee daily operations and cross-functional collaboration
Lead performance reviews, staff coaching, and hiring initiatives
Promote a high-performance, team-oriented culture
Sales & Financial Management:
Set and manage sales targets by product/region
Support distributor and dealer network growth
Monitor cost structures, profitability, and inventory planning
Prepare budgets, P&L statements, and cash flow projections
Reporting & Compliance:
Ensure timely and accurate MIS reporting
Attend networking and industry events for visibility
Uphold company policies and ethical business practices
Requirements
5-7 years in senior sales / business development roles (Cereal/FMCG preferred)
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Open to relocation or travel within Nigeria/West Africa as needed.
