Senior Civil Works Supervisor

We are pleased
to announce the following vacancy in the Network Engineering Department within
the Technology Division.
In keeping with
our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria
indicated below:
Reporting to the
Senior Manager-Access Network Rollout, the position holder will supervise
construction of Safaricom sites within specified time, quality standards and
allocated CAPEX budget.
Key Responsibilities:

- Take the lead role on site surveys
(MSVs);
- Develop cost effective site designs
that conform to Safaricom specifications;
- Ensure timely delivery, approval and
issuance of accurate site drawings and design packs;
- Ensure completion of site
construction and installation projects within PAP/project timelines;
- Enforce compliance to occupational
health and safety standards by all project team members including casuals;
- Conduct regular site visits/
supervision to ensure compliance to Safaricom quality standards;
- Carry out all required acceptance
tests on relevant site installations;
- Ensure timely acceptance of all
assigned sites/projects as per Safaricom quality standards;
- Ensure availability of accurate and
up-to-date site/project documents and database information;
- Conduct recovery of decommissioned
sites within PAP/project timelines.
Role requirements;
- A University Degree in Civil
Engineering or its equivalent;
- At least 4 years construction
experience;
- At least 2 years construction
experience on GSM related projects;
- Project Management qualification is
an added advantage.
