Truck Driver
Duties and Responsibilities
- Duties and
responsibilities of the successful candidate involve driving a truck as
authorized;
- carrying out
routine checks on the truck’s cooling, oil, electrical and brake systems,
tyre pressure, etc.,
- detecting
and reporting malfunctioning of the truck’s systems, maintenance of work
tickets for the truck assigned; ensuring security and safety for the truck
on and off the road;
- safety of
the cargo/goods therein and maintaining cleanliness of the truck.
Requirement for appointment
- Kenya
Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), at least mean grade D (plan) or
equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Valid, clean
driving license with special type endorsement (Articulated motor-vehicle).
- First Aid
certificate (Course not lasting less than one week)
- Certificate
of competence
- Valid
certificate of good conduct from the Kenya Police
- Testimonials
from all the former employees
- At least 7
years of truck driving experience, especially Mercedes Actros/FAW trucks
- Must be 40
years of age or above.
