Job Purpose: We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst who
will take on the management of key client projects with the goal of delivering
every project on time, within budget and within scope.
Key Functional Areas of
Responsibility
- Interpret data, analyse results using
statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Develop and implement data collection systems
and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data
sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or
patterns in complex data sets
- Filter and “clean” data, and review computer
reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code
problems
- Work closely with marketing to prioritize
business and information needs
- Locate and define new process improvement
opportunities
Professional Competencies
- 2 years of experience as a data analyst
- Technical expertise regarding data models,
data mining and segmentation techniques
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using
statistical packages for analysing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to
collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of
information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing and
presenting findings
- BS in Mathematics or Statistics
