Background
The Kimetrica Group is an international company providing knowledge services primarily to the nonprofit sector.
We are working on an innovated project to collect food security information on conflict areas in southern Sudan.
Local humanitarian
workers operating inside Sudan are currently collecting food security data via
three paper-based survey instruments.
Using
satellite phones, the workers will phone in the completed data to a data entry
operator (DEO) in Nairobi who will in turn enter it into our online data
capture system.
The DEO position is a crucial feature to the success of this project.
The deadline for this vacancy is 16th August 2012.
Responsibilities
- Diligently
checking phone for text messages from the enumerators
- Promptly phoning
back enumerators and entering their data into the system
- Setting up and
following a protocol for calling in answers and repeating back responses.
- Managing the
assignment of Household IDs and replacement IDs
- Monthly
verification of household IDs
Skills
- Fluency in
Arabic
- Detail-oriented
– will be tested on ability to manage the phone entry of data
- Computer Skills
- Excellent
communications skills
- Prior experience
of research/data entry would be an advantage

5 days
