Senior HR Job Opening.

Key responsibilities
General Employment and Policy advice
Provide guidance and advice to managers and employees on the full range of relevant HR practices and policies e.g. performance management, disciplinary, grievances, recruitment and retention.

Ensure policy changes are reflected in all associated documents and communicated to appropriate parties.
Keep up to date with the latest changes in employment law and work with the HR manager to make improvements to policies and processes.
Maintaining and managing relations with the unions.
Strategy

Provide advice and support to managers on the HR impact of business activities
Instigate internal communication and employee engagement within Business Unit.
Facilitate the promotion of Company values and interpret Company policies and practices to fit Business Unit needs.
Improve the visibility of the value HR adds to Business Units
Recruitment & Retention in Mombasa
Produce job offers and advise on salary in cooperation with the HR Manager.
Interview for managers and other positions as required.
Undertake all administrative tasks relating to the recruitment process,
Induction of new employees.
Source temporary staff as required in the business area.
Create and input employee records onto the HR data systems and maintenance of the employee files.
Conduct exit interviews and analyse reasons for leaving

Training
Update and maintenance of training records for employees
Recovering DIT levy every year
Conducting training need analysis
Administration
Supervise the administration staff in Mombasa
maintaining a well organized and documented Stationary store
Ensure good quality catering services are delivered
Ensure procurement in Mombasa office is according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Ensuring all office and business license are up to date
Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
Business Related degree from a reputable institution
HND in human resources management
2-3 year’s experience working in a busy and professionally run human resources department, preferably a multinational
Computer literate – HRMIS
Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
