About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and highly experienced Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist to strengthen our organizational capability and drive talent development initiatives across our operations.
This role is well-suited to a seasoned professional with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
The successful candidate will lead the design, execution, and evaluation of training programs, ensuring that workforce development is aligned with business objectives.
This position requires a solid understanding of adult learning principles, strong facilitation skills, and a passion for improving employee performance through continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct training needs assessments (TNA) in partnership with department heads to identify knowledge and skill gaps.
Design and implement scalable learning programs including onboarding, compliance, technical, and soft skills training.
Deliver in-house training sessions and manage vendor-led learning interventions.
Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to manage and track training activities.
Evaluate training effectiveness using industry-recognized models (e.g., Kirkpatrick, ROI).
Align learning strategies with organizational goals, talent development, and succession planning initiatives.
Maintain up-to-date training records, reports, and compliance documentation.
Coordinate training logistics including schedules, materials, facilitators, and venues.
Foster a culture of continuous learning across all business units.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related discipline.
6 - 10 years of relevant experience in an L&D or Training role, with proven success in the manufacturing sector.
Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR (HRCI), CIPD, or equivalent is required.
Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning methodologies, and training facilitation.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital learning platforms.
Flexibility to travel as needed for regional training programs.
Residence in, or willingness to relocate to, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Salary
N500,000 - N700,000 monthly (Open to negotiation).
