We are seeking
to fill the following positions:-
1. Youth Advisor

1 Position
Purpose of the job
The Youth
Advisor supports the technical youth work at a national level by supporting the
development and execution of innovative strategies for implementing and
promoting youth friendly women’s reproductive health and rights services.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement youth focused intervention programs that increase young people’s knowledge and access to sexual and reproductive health and rights at the national level.
- Facilitates partner meetings to ensure youth needs are addressed and integrated into projects.
- Design and conduct dissemination of project results internally and externally.
- Contributes to the development of educational materials that integrate appropriate youth content.
- Works with the in-country team to develop and write proposals, reports, and presentations, including information for donor documents.
- Drafts initial activity reports and updates activity report list; follows up with partners about grant reports; and enters/updates information in the organizational databases, managing contact databases as appropriate.
Qualifications and competencies
The ideal
candidate should have a Bachelors degree in social sciences or its equivalent
with a minimum of 3-4 years related work experience.
One (1) or more
years’ experience in implementing youth focused programs.
In addition, the
candidate should be experienced in working with youths, have excellent
interpersonal skills with excellent written and oral communication skills,
ability to prioritize duties and work under minimal supervision.
One must have
strong data entry and Microsoft suite skills.
2. Program
Associate
Ref. No. Ipas/Programs/02/2013
1 position
Purpose of the job
The Programs
Associate provides assistance to the Director, Program Manager, technical staff
and activity leads in coordinating the day-to-day activities of the team.
Key responsibilities:
- Develops activity budgets,reviews budget discrepancies with the Program Manager and provides support during budget creation and revision processes.
- Provides administrative support including scheduling and coordinating meetings and conferences.
- Assists team members by tracking activity deadlines and drafting or reviewing reports, grant agreements, service contracts, program work plans, and other related documents as needed.
- Responsible for the production of documents, including agreements, contracts, disbursement schedules, project timelines and work plans during contract period.
- Reviews reports to verify that the documentation and information requested is complete
Qualifications and competencies
The ideal
candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in project management, social
sciences, administration or its equivalent with 2 years’ experience in event
planning, administration, and/or public health.
The candidate
should have a working knowledge of women’s sexual and reproductive health and
rights, forecasting project budgets, skilled in strategic planning, monitoring
and evaluation, have computer skills with strong interpersonal and
communications skills.
The candidate
should be ready to travel frequently to the field.
