Profile Introduction
 
Our client is a leading East African investment company listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange and cross-listed on the Uganda Securities Exchange and seeks to recruit a Senior Finance Officer for their Nairobi office.

The overall purpose of the role is: Responsibility over the Group’s forward looking reporting function as well as management of the financial control environment.

Minimum Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field
  • Advanced technical credentials such as CPA, CFA or ACCA
  • Over 6 years or progressive financial management experience
Job Specification - Senior Finance Officer
  • Provide business partnership to the Group’s senior management through regular and insightful forward reporting.
  • Develop and implement relevant financial control systems to ensure optimal delivery of financial services to the group.
  • Provide oversight over the Group’s tax matters.
  • Provide leadership in the development of continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives for the Group.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning and reviewing of strategies and the regulatory implications.
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
  • Ensure credibility of the Finance and strategy function by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
  • Take a lead in preparation of financial management information for the Board.
  • Review financial reports and ensure that they comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Implement controls through IT Systems.
  • Manage the planning, forecasting, and management reporting cycles, establish and monitor key business indicators and add value to the business through sound analysis and risk assessment, and proactive recommendations
