Investigations Officer

Re-Advertisement
Reporting to the
Assistant Manager, Investigations, the Investigations Officer is responsible
for investigating non-compliance with the Capital Markets regulatory framework
and complaints raised by investors, market players or any other stake holder
against licensed market intermediaries and listed companies.
Major
Duties and Responsibilities
- Investigating
non-compliance with the capital markets regulatory framework;
- Investigating
complaints raised by investors, market players or any other stake holder
against licensed market intermediaries and listed companies;
- Examining
findings from surveillance and inspection activities to identify
violations of the Capital Markets Act and Regulations;
- Recommending
administrative and legal interventions in line with the Capital Markets
Act and Regulations.
Required
Qualifications, Competencies & Experience
- Bachelors degree
in Law, Business or a public security discipline.
- A Professional
qualification in forensics or fraud examination will be a strong added
advantage. In any case, the suitable candidate should demonstrate
advancement towards a relevant certification.
- Must have
excellent ICT skills.
- Demonstrable
experience (minimum 2 years) in forensic or fraud investigations
preferably in the financial services sector.
- Unquestionable
integrity including a certificate of good conduct from CID.
Assistant Accountant
Ref:
HCA/AAC/6/2013/02
Reporting to the
Assistant Manager Finance, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:
- Compiling and
analyzing financial information
- Preparation of
accounting entries such as cashbook and general ledger journals, checking
correctness of supporting documents and posting of the same into the
accounting system
- Raising payment
vouchers, preparing cheques including statutory payments
- Maintaining a
payments register
- Preparation of
daily / weekly payments and cash report
- Maintaining of
petty cash register and reimbursement process as per procedure
- Periodic
analysis of ledger accounts.
- Preparing
assigned periodic reports and
- Any other duties
as assigned from time to time
Required
Qualifications, Competencies & Experience
- 2nd class
Honours (equivalent) Bachelors degree in finance, accounting IT or related
business field, with a CPA (or equivalent) qualification or demonstrable
advancement towards such qualification
- Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
- Up to two (2
)years relevant working experience in a highly computerized accounting or
audit environment;
- Strong
analytical skills, problem solving and report writing skills, ability to
multi-task and meet deadlines, strong attention to detail, timeliness and
high degree of integrity.
- Unquestionable
integrity including a certificate of good conduct from CID.
