Director of Communications and Fundraising
An exciting opportunity exists for someone with senior level experience in communications, marketing and fundraising.

To report to the MD

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Communications and Marketing

  • You will develop the communications and marketing strategy for training and productions, both locally and internationally, and be responsible for its successful implementation within agreed budgets.
  • You will collect feedback from clients and customers, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. You will analyse the same to continuously improve execution, increase audiences, and to inform the overall company strategy.
  • You will help seek and seal both local and international partnerships. You must be able to design and execute partnership agreements, presentations, proposals, and network energetically.
  • You will handle media relations and proactively disseminate information on a regular basis about the activities and successes of the organisation and manage online presence with a view to increasing its impact, and develop and manage Friends of the organisation.
  • You will also develop the Member organisation.
  • You will develop corporate and membership policies and initiate systems and processes to ensure that they are followed and monitored.
  • You will co-ordinate and attend four board meetings per year.
Fundraising
 
You will mobilize resources by successfully identifying and pursuing funding opportunities to increase funding diversity.

You will strengthen relationships with the existing network of donors and supporters.
 
You will prepare timely programme and financial reports that comply with donor and organizational internal policies, and manage submission of the same.

Monitoring and Evaluation 
 
You will help develop processes for evaluating the training and productions and continuously measure progress towards the achievement of project outputs and objectives, and identify challenges and opportunities to feedback into the strategic plan.

Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field
  • Five years’ experience in fundraising and marketing
  • Strong work ethic and problem solving skills
  • Able to multi-task with a high level of independence
  • Strong computer and general business skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
