The organization is geographically located in Nairobi, Naivasha, Kericho, Mt. Kenya and Mombasa and works with 1,200 vegetable out growers and 10,000 tea out growers.
 
The Job
 
We intend to recruit a Post Harvest Foreman to join our Vegetables department in Ibis farm - Mt. Kenya Region (Near Nanyuki, -Laikipia).
 
Key Responsibilities
 
The successful candidate will manage our expanding areas of veg crop production in Ibis Farm, Timau.
 
You will be experienced in:-
  • Daily production and predictions
  • Coordination of transport of produce from field to packhouse
  • Labour administration, projections and utilization in the packhouse and field
  • Overseeing good picking procedures for crop sustenance
  • Overseeing all laid down standards of audits
  • Making sure produce is of good quality both at the field by timely picking and proper grading at the packhouse
  • Ensure that production records are accurate and up to date
Desired Competences/Qualifications
  • Diploma/Degree in horticulture/agricultural related discipline
  • 3 years experience in a veg setup, of which 1 year should be in supervisory role
  • Good communication, organization and interpersonal skills
  • Team player
  • A strong personal initiative with ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Flexibility and good decision making ability
