Youth
Empowerment Institute Kenya, supported by MasterCard Foundation, is established
to provide Basic Employability Skills Training (BEST) for disadvantaged youth
with particular focus on women to get equitable, qualitative learning and access
to promising labour market oriented opportunities, savings and credit that
support their pathways to safe and positive futures.
Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship and Savings Trainer
About the position
The
incumbent will be based at CAP offices in Westland’s.
He/she
will supervise a team of trainers in other CAP centers.
This is
a senior position and the right candidate must have the necessary skills and
experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Developing
Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship and Savings curriculums.
- Mobilizing the
youths to form groups and link them to financial institutions.
- Managing a group
of trainers in other centers
- Helping the
trainees in setting up Enterprises.
- Linking the
trainees to Banks / MFIs and Government Funding agencies.

written and proven documentation skills
- Excellent
Networking skills.
- Excellent
communication skills.
Requirements
- Knowledge/experience
in individual and group savings.
- Experience in
mobilization of savings.
- Proven track
record of linking young people with financial institutions.
- 5 years’
experience in the banking industry.
- Past experience
of working with NGO and micro-finances will be an added advantage.
- Excellent
connections with banks and financial institutions.
- Demonstrated
Experience in delivering financial literacy module, entrepreneurship and
has helped a group of trainees in setting up enterprises.
- Degree in
Entrepreneurship/Education or related field.
