The Aga
Khan University Hospital, Nairobi, (AKUH,N) a premier tertiary teaching
hospital, is fast growing with a network of over 30 multi-site medical centers
in East Africa and a state-of-the-art Heart and Cancer Centre in Nairobi.
Senior House Officer
The Senior House Officer will provide clinical care to patients.
S/he
will also be expected to work with a team of medical staff to ensure optimal
delivery of quality patient care.
Duty
areas include Accident & Emergency Unit, Surgery, Intensive Care Unit, and
Medical Centers in different locations.
Applicants should possess a Bachelors of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) or equivalent.
Candidates
must have completed internship in Kenya and should be registered with the Kenya
Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists Board.
Certification
in ACLS, ATLS, and EPLS/PALS will be an added advantage.
Clinical Nurse – Critical Care
The Clinical Nurse will be responsible for promoting and maintaining high standards of professional nursing care to meet the needs of critically ill patients and their families.
S/he
will participate actively in decision making related to patient care, and will
ensure that the safety, dignity and respect of patients are maintained at all
times.
Applicants should possess a Diploma in Nursing (KRN / KRCHN) from an accredited School of Nursing and a Diploma in Critical care or Emergency Nursing with at least two (2) years relevant experience and should be registered with the Board of Nursing.
Preference
will be given to candidates with ACLS, ATLS or PALS/EPLS training.
Systems Administrator
The Systems Administrator will serve as the primary interface between users and operations for developing information solutions that satisfy user and customer requirements, including timely and cost effective implementation of enhancements.
Applicants for the position must have a Degree/Diploma in Computer Sciences with a good understanding of Microsoft and Internet Technologies and a Certification in CNNA, MCSE.
The
successful candidate should have at least two (2) years in a similar position
with experience working in a busy ICT Department.
S/he
should have excellent project management skills.
Telecommunication, Technician
The
Telecommunication, Technician will be responsible for the planning, networking
and maintenance of all telecommunication infrastructure in the Hospital.
Applicants should possess a Diploma in Electronics or Telecommunication Engineering or related field and three (3) years’ experience in a large organization in telephone operations at a supervisory level.
S/he must have thorough knowledge of PABX systems and be computer literate.
