The RET, www.theRET.org, headquartered in Geneva, with a
regional presence in Nairobi, was founded in December 2000 by Mrs. Sadako
Ogata, then United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, to provide greater
access to and quality of post- primary education for refugees, returnees and
the internally displaced.
Programme Manager - (Based In Dadaab) I
To provide technical leadership and direction towards successful implementation of the new RET’s programme in Dadaab and Eastleigh.
Qualifications:
- Masters
degree in Education or related field of study with relevant experience in
Project Management
- At
least five years experience of developing and managing humanitarian
programmes of a significant size and within a chronic conflict or
post-conflict environment
- Proven
record of good human resources & financial management — including
experience of proposal/budget writing and donor reporting, monitoring and
evaluation, budgeting and performance management
- Excellent
verbal and written skills in English; knowledge of Kiswahili and Somali
languages an asset. Solid drafting/reporting skills essential.
Field Education Officer (2) - (one based in
Dadaab and the other in Nairobi)
To ensure successful implementation of various components of the RET programme and ensure attainment of desired performance standards and meeting of the programme objectives.
Qualifications:
- Degree
in Education or related field of study; knowledge in curriculum
development, educational administration an added advantage
- At
least three years experience in managing educational and livelihood
projects in humanitarian context
- Experience
in proposal, report writing and in monitoring and evaluation of projects
- Excellent
verbal and written skills in English; knowledge of Kiswahili and Somali
languages an asset
Accountant - (based In Nairobi)
To manage the day to day accounting functions and ensure strict adherence to proper accounting procedures, systems and internal control.
Qualifications:
- Business
related degree
- Professional
accounting qualifications, minimum part II of either CPA, ACA or ACCA
- At
least 3 years experience working in a humanitarian context
- Excellent
verbal and written skills in English; knowledge of Kiswahili and Somali
languages an asset
