General Manager Job in Kenya


The General Manager (GM) will provide management leadership, strategic direction, planning, formulating of policies and procedures and adopting of best practice in corporate governance, so as to achieve the  property investment, management and development business strategic objectives of the Company.

S/he will be responsible for:
  • Providing strategic and management input to continually improve shareholder return on investment, provide long term sustainable investment income and growth ;
  • Providing strategic and management input to re-position PDM as a leading property investment, management and development company in the country;
  • Managing the company's property portfolio and maximising 'owned' property asset performance ;
  • Establishing a viable and fully operational management office in Kenya ;
  • Providing property services including property advisory services to and identifying property investment and development opportunities in the kenya;
  • Establishing PDM as the industry driver of property investments in the region and the preferred property investment service company for domestic and international property investors;
  • Establishing PDM as the primary source of property market data and information in the region ;
  • Exploring and establishing viable options to release investment and / or enhance liquidity in property holdings in the country;
  • Overseeing operations and management of the organization  ;
  • Preparing annual business and operation plans and preparation and presentation of an annual budget to the board;
  • Updating the board regularly on performance and undertaking any other reporting required for the Company.
The Requirements:

The successful candidate will have the following profile:
  • A Land Economics graduate form a recognized learning institution
  • A Real Estate and Business graduate degree from a University recognised for its Real Estate program will have an added advantage.
  • Full membership in an international professional organisation in the Real Estate industry;
  • Minimum Four year’s experience and demonstrated success in leading a Real Estate or Property company involved in property investment, management and development;
  • Exceptional leadership qualities, strategic planning skills and advanced business acumen;
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal and analytical skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
