We are
seeking to recruit an experienced and self- motivated individual to the
position of Commercial Manager - Digital
Overall responsibility is to formulate, implement and manage advertising plans to ensure achievements of the revenue objectives for the Group through the provision of online and mobile advertising solutions to clients and other commercial digital opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Management of
sales, subscription, marketing and interactive departments;
- Ensuring
agreements are in place for the delivery of digital services;
- The development
of revenue budgets, including online advertising, mobile services
subscription and interactivity, content on demand, online subscription and
syndication;
- Effective
marketing to increase brand, product awareness and recruitment;
- Conducting and
analysis research on habits, preferences and trends in digital media;
- Tracking of
revenues generated against budget;
- Liaison with
finance to ensure all revenues are properly captured;
- Developing and
managing the commission scheme structure to ensure all commercial staff
are adequately incentivized;
- Ensuring all
fixed revenue obligations are met and collected on time;
- Manage
customers’ expectations while ensuring that their concerns are addressed;
- Ensure effective
management of the team and that people management standards and processes
are duly met. This will include recruitment, talent and performance
management and retention initiatives.
Qualifications, experience and skills
- Graduate in a
Business related degree from a recognised university;
- At least 3-5
years sales and marketing experience at a senior level in a digital media
house or related business with understanding of the dynamics and
complexity of digital advertising.
- Proven record in
managing profit targets in a commercially-oriented environment and
experience in leading change management initiatives;
- Strong customer
service orientation and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrable
ability to grow a profitable business with drive and commercial acumen in
an organization embracing change;
- Proven track
record of managing a team in a fast paced environment;
- Goal oriented
strategic thinker;
- IT training and
digital advertising background will be a definite advantage.
