Finance & Administration Manager

entrenched market leader in Kenya and the region.
The Company is looking for a results-driven finance professional, who is well
-qualified and mature to effectively lead the finance function and work in
close liaison with procurement, administration and IT roles, among others.Main Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager, Kenya, and based in Nairobi, the successful candidate will be responsible for the financial and fiscal management aspects of the company operations.
He/she will also be expected to provide leadership and
coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting
efforts of the company.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Management
accounting and Reporting
- Inventory
accounting and control
- Budgeting
and forecasting
- Preparing
periodic financial statements within set deadlines
- Liquidity
management, planning and forecasting
- Assisting
operations and other related functions within the business
- Team
leadership, staff development and coaching
Qualifications and Skills:
- A
relevant university degree and a full accounting qualification
- Minimum
of 5 years working experience in finance at senior, team leadership level
- Good
exposure to the SAP, PASTEL system particularly the cost accounting module
and a high proficiency in Windows and specifically Excel and Word packages
- Overall
good business acumen and commercial flair
- Good
understanding of Income Tax, VAT legislation, and IFRS , IAS and
GAAP
- Good
understanding of how supply chain affects the business
- Able
to work under pressure and consistently meet strict deadlines
- Self
Driven with a “can-do”, “will-do” type of personality
- Good
interpersonal skills with ability to confidently communicate at senior
management level
