Contract Terms: The below positions are strictly one year
non-renewable contracts.
1. Customs Specialist
This position appeals to candidates who are results oriented, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Someone with excellent knowledge on the bonds processes, who is flexible and can maintain attention to detail in a busy working environment whilst maintaining consistency and courtesy.
Scope of the Job
The holder of this position, who will report to the Supply Chain Manager, will manage the government incentive schemes by timely reconciliation and cancellation of bonds so as to ensure uninterrupted material supply and production operations.
Setting up and maintaining a robust filing system to facilitate completeness and ease of access to relevant documentation is critical to this role.
Main Responsibilities
Bonds Reconciliation
Prepare TREO/EGPSP documents and submit to Treasury for approval
Process bonds with approved controls from Treasury with the Insurance service provider and customs
Assist in queries regarding TREO/EGPSP with customs and clearing agents
Follow up for Sugar permit with Kenya Sugar board
Follow up with shipping and order management teams to ensure all export documents are returned in readiness for VAT/TREO/EGPSP reconciliation with KRA
Reconcile the company’s imports under TREO/EGPSP for audit with customs
Account for all customs bonds under TREO/EGPSP issued by KRA and Insurance Service Provider by cancelling bonds with customs and Insurance Service Provider after KRA audit
Respond to all customs queries regarding TREO/EGPSP
Account for the guarantee facility allocated by the company and Insurance Service Provider
Import Files Management
Set up and maintain a robust system for import files management
Document and maintain a procedure for handling of imports documents
Conduct periodic system audits on the filing system and documents movement
Implement 5S in the filing system
Managing relationship with Customs Office
Establish and maintain a working relationship with customs office
Fast track progress on submitted files for audit completion
Proactively handle queries raised by Customs office and keep involved parties informed on progress made
Uphold company values when dealing with external stakeholders
Experience
Minimum of 4 years experience in a busy FMCG
Qualification
Degree/Diploma in Business Administration/Management
Diploma in C & F Shipping Management/Accounting
Good computer skills including working knowledge of MS Office

2. Production Planner
This position will appeal to suitably qualified individuals who are results oriented with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to work with complex data and challenge status quo is critical for this job.
We require someone who is highly motivated, flexible and able to work with minimum supervision in a busy environment.
Scope of the Job
This position is responsible for assisting the Supply Chain Manager to analyze and communicate the impact of rolling forecast on plant capacity utilization levels.
The holder will provide leadership on development of seamless customer order fulfillment plans, support factory performance through effective and efficient capacity planning to boost Overall Equipment Efficiency while controlling cost and waste levels.
He/she will co-ordinate flow of information among production, commercial, Customer Service Representatives and other supply chain functions on orders and material requirements. This position is expected to be the primary contact point for inter-company demand/supply management for TPEA Factory.
Main Responsibilities
Production planning
Optimizes plant capacity utilization and highlights capacity bottlenecks and opportunities
Co-ordinates with materials planning team on production requirements
Confirms sales orders to Customer Service Representative (CSR)
Communicates lead times and quantities to CSR
Executes Block planning to ensure efficient product runs
Develop customer focused production schedules
Execute production plan in a logical and cost effective way
Coordinate the weekly planning meeting with the process managers
Responsible to ensure factory perfect confirmation and perfect deliveries are on target
Optimize production efficiency by minimizing factory costs by controlling overtime and process waste reduction while meeting customers demands
A key member of factory team that reviews daily performance in daily management system
Involvements on quarterly stock take
Inter-Company Packaging Material export business
Co-ordinate with Inter-company CSRs to ensure sales plans and orders placed on the converting factory are realistic.
Analyze and engage the customers on accuracy of rolling forecast data
Proactively engage customers and shipping on potential delays to order fulfillment and remedial measures
World Class Manufacturing role
Supply chain improvement team on perfect delivery and perfect confirmation, adherence to schedule and supply chain cost
