Our client in Kenya, a world leader in the provision of
temporary power and temperature control is looking to hire an Human Resource Specialist. Reporting to the Regional Head of Human Resources for South
& East Africa and Middle East, the main responsibility of this role is to
provide support on the full spectrum of human resources function including
staffing, compensation and benefits, development and administration,
performance management systems, talent retention and succession, learning and
development, and employee relations.
Based in Nairobi, Kenya the key
accountabilities for this role are:* Implement local human resource and development strategy, policy and practice in order to attract,
retain and develop key resources for the business.
* Collate, publish and implement uniform HR policies throughout the region and update them with the changing business and legislative environment.
* Support the full spectrum of functions and HR issues that directly impact staff or business performance such as recruitment and on-boarding arrangements, talent retention and succession, staff training, learning & development, staff communications, etc.
* Review and standardize job profiles and descriptions in the region and update them as may be required
* Deliver an efficient support on recruitment activities to support aggressive business growth.
* Provide advice and support to line managers on HR issues that arise in day- to- day business operation.
* Co-ordinate and integrate any other global/regional HR initiatives/programs in the region.
* Work with line leaders, local agencies and corporate/area HR leaders to ensure all local regulation and norms are adhered to and implemented.
* Work closely with corporate/area HR leaders, line managers and employees to create the right corporate culture in the region.
Minimum Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications and competencies:
* At least 3 years of progressively responsible related experience in human resource, in an MNC and/or manufacturing environment. Good knowledge of local employment legislation and HR practices.
* Degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline coupled with a diploma in Human resources management from reputed institute.
* A strategic thinker with proven track record in developing and applying strategic and tactical human resource principles and best practices within international organizations.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to build strong working relationships with management and employees.
* Strong analytical, sound planning and organizing skills.
* Good team player who is energetic, results-oriented and customer-focused.
* Proactive and ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
* Ability to identify root causes of problems and propose solutions
* Computer-literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
The package for this position starts at KShs 200,000 per month, negotiable based on experience and demonstrable contribution.
