Retail Channel Manager Job in Kenya.

Our client in Kenya, a global organization in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) space is looking to hire a Retail and Channel Manager in Kenya. The main responsibility of this role is to develop and implement route to market strategies to grow market share and visibility objective in a profitable manner.
Key Accountabilities for this role are:
* Drive the implementation of strategic initiative on distribution whilst developing and executing specific channel strategies.
* Support customers to define and implement effective route to market strategies aimed at delivering effective trade coverage which eliminates stock outs and delivers on product visibility objectives in the trade.
* Carry out value chain analysis, pricing analysis and give recommendations on price management across the different channels and markets
* Undertake retail audit analysis to identify the distribution and market share levels by channel

* Support customers to launch new products effectively and provide ideas on channel activation programmes and promotions
* Gather market intelligence and develop strategies to react to changes in the market conditions.
* Develop and drive the implementation of category branding initiatives within the modern trade
* Maintain a close working relationship with key business partners- customers, distributors and the trade
* Drive brand visibility initiatives/merchandising solutions for traditional trade
Minimum Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications and competencies:
* Accomplished, results driven sales professional with at least minimum 5 years sales experience with FMCG, able to travel extensively.
* Excellent customer relationship management with extensive knowledge of the local retail trade market and research
* Good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skill. Capable of working as part of a team and leading a team. Good leadership and supervisory skills.
* Good analytical skills and strong financial acumen financials.
* Degree in Marketing, Commerce or Business Administration
