Our client, a leading telecom distributor based in Nairobi Kenya, with businesses operations in Kenya, Tanzania and DRC offering mobile phones to telecom operators, telecom or electronics stores is looking to hire a Marketing Executive/Officer reporting to the Marketing Manager. The main responsibility for the job is to ensure brand visibility to increase profit and market share.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* To ensure brand visibility of assigned brands at telecom retail stores or telecom operator stores
* To negotiate brand space inside retail stores
* To conceive cost effective promotional ideas and manage the executions directly or through advertising agencies
* Interact with the media for best rates and sponsorship ideas

* Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products
* Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The position is a very hands-on role, requiring a highly motivated, independent, strong, and assertive Marketing Executive who has an outstanding record of marketing achievement and who will hit the ground running. Our client is looking for enthusiastic individuals who are motivated by job satisfaction and the desire to achieve outstanding results. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years’ experience in retail or marketing and visual merchandise background, ideally telecom and electronics background.
The successful candidate will be a degree or higher diploma holder in Marketing and Sales. He/she will demonstrate knowledge in marketing telecom products, including the ability to create brand awareness in new markets. The successful candidate will be highly numerate, computer literate, have excellent communication and reporting skills and possess a clean driver’s license. The position will involve travelling fortnightly to nearby African markets.
Remuneration: the package offered will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
