Job Title: Group Business Development Officer

Location: Surulere, Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly driven and results-oriented Group Business Development Officer with a proven track record in identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving growth across multiple business units.

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience and the ability to work collaboratively with senior management to achieve organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve growth targets across the group.

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans.

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and competitive positioning.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, presentations, and tailored business solutions.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.

  • Monitor and report on business development activities, performance, and market conditions.

  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field (MBA is an advantage).

  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in business development, sales, or related role.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding business growth targets.

  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Willingness to travel when required.
