Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage tax planning, preparation, and filing processes.
- Lead and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Analyze financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and tax laws.
- Implement internal controls to ensure financial compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting.
- Professional certification (ACCA, ICAN, etc.) is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws and filing procedures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
