Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced E-commerce Manager with a background in leading online retail platforms such as Jumia, Konga, or similar.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, proficiency in WordPress, basic coding knowledge, and familiarity with graphic design principles.
- They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our e-commerce operations, including product listing, website management, digital marketing, and customer experience optimization.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the e-commerce business, including website management, product listing, inventory management, and customer service.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive online sales growth and meet revenue targets.
- Oversee the creation and optimization of product listings, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and optimization for search engines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and logistics, to ensure seamless operation of the e-commerce platform.
- Monitor website performance, analyze key metrics, and implement improvements to enhance user experience and conversion rates.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in e-commerce, digital marketing, and technology.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the e-commerce team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, including payment processors, shipping partners, and software providers.
- Conduct regular audits of the website and implement security measures to protect customer data and prevent fraud.
- Support digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns, social media marketing, and search engine optimization (SEO).
- Utilize WordPress and coding knowledge to customize website features, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize performance.
- Assist with graphic design tasks, such as creating promotional banners, product images, and other visual assets.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Previous experience working for Jumia, Konga, or similar online retail platforms.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proficiency in WordPress and basic coding languages (HTML, CSS).
- Familiarity with graphic design principles and experience using design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Canva.
- Proven track record of driving online sales growth and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
