Manager-Kenya
Job Purpose
Our client recruiting a Nairobi-based Senior Account Manager to maintain its position as the energy access industry’s leading B2B Pay-As-You-Go technology provider. The Senior Account Manager will be the primary point of contact for high value channel partners, and will be responsible for orchestrating a superior partner experience.
The
position will be responsible for the successful onboarding of high value
partners, their introduction to the platform and Pay-As-You-Go sales, and
ultimately their happiness and success with Pay-As-You-Go.
The
position will report directly to our Director of East African Operations, and
will include periodic international travel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Onboarding and training
- Work
closely with the Business Development Lead on account strategy
- Onboard
and train new account members via demos, presentations, collateral, and
webinars, to ensure they are engaged with the product;
- Educate
accounts on new features and tools while identifying target accounts for
upsells and new opportunities
- Proactively
reach out to partners to support policy and procedure change management
Defining
and executing
- Establish
productive, professional relationships with key personnel in partner
accounts
- Understand
partner needs and motivations
- Drive
sales quotas by communicating and providing support regularly in person,
on the phone, and via email
- Meet
assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in
partner accounts
- Proactively
lead joint partner planning processes that develop mutual performance
objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a
productive partner relationship
- Consult
and coach accounts to achieve success through defining the correct KPIs
and identifying optimal end-user segments
Educating
and enabling
- Become
an expert in our client’s software products and provide recommendations to
suit varying client needs
- Work
with Customer Success, Platform, and Devices teams to articulate and
monitor customer requests and feedback
- Help
partners define and shape their market strategy through utilizing the our
client’s tools
- Become
a subject matter expert on all software tools, policies, and procedures
that impact partner success
Job
Requirements:
- BS/BA
degree
- 5+
years of sales and sales leadership experience, preferably in an
indirect/channel sales environment
- Demonstrated
track record of managing client relationships and retaining accounts
- Demonstrated
track record of driving revenue through partnerships
- Experience
managing multiple projects simultaneously at various stages
- Expertise
with Microsoft Office suite and CRM software
- Experience
living and working in an emerging market context a plus
