Our client,
a growing Agricultural Company, is looking for a Chief Accountant.
The
successful candidate will be responsible for the finance department and will be
reporting to the CFO.
MUST have
experience in the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare,
examine, or analyse accounting records, financial statements, or other
financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to
reporting and procedural standards.
- Review
taxes owed and tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or
other tax requirements.
- Develop,
maintain, and analyse budgets.
- Preparing
periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Scheduling
expenditures, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions.
- Prepare
annual returns and yearly audited accounts.
- Analyse
business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and
obligations, to provide advice.
Qualifications
- Advanced
degree in accounting or management & business administration.
- CPA
(K) or ACCA required.
- 8+
years experience in the agricultural sector as an accountant is a MUST.
- Must
be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-pace setting.
- Experience
with Quickbooks or other large automated accounting systems is a plus.
- Must
have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong
verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong
interpersonal and supervisory skills required.
- Ability
to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
- Experience
in international import/export is a MUST.
- Excellent
analytical skills.
Monthly
gross salary: Ksh.
250,000 - 300,000/= (Approx. 2,500 - 3,000 USD) depending on experience
