Lean Management Officer
Our client, a major Producer and Exporter of fresh vegetables, flowers and fruits, based in Nairobi is seeking to recruit a Lean Management Officer.
Our client, a major Producer and Exporter of fresh vegetables, flowers and fruits, based in Nairobi is seeking to recruit a Lean Management Officer.
The successful candidate MUST have a
minimum of 5 years working experience in lean management.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for guiding the adoption &
integration of lean management processes.
- Formulate robust business cases for lean
management across the organisation.
- Integrating lean thinking into core processes
and decision-making.
- Define and deliver cost-saving benefits
arising from lean initiatives.
- Ensure effective internal controls, as well as
measuring and reporting systems.
- Facilitate internal and external
communications and visibility.
- Promote broad awareness of lean initiatives,
both internally and externally.
- Build effective partnerships with external
organisations e.g. service providers.
- Develop Expense and Capital budgets for lean
initiatives.
- Provide project management oversight to ensure
budgets are adhered to.
- Keep the whole business informed of lean initiatives,
events and issues.
Qualifications;
- Must have a degree and/or masters in a
relevant field.
- Must have a minimum 5 years relevant lean
management expertise.
- Must have knowledge of Kaizen, CI, Six Sigma,
TQM approaches.
- Must have evidence of successful adoption of
lean practices in prior employment.
- Must have experience in dealing with UK
businesses, retailers in particular.
- Must have experience of developing, managing
and delivering lean initiatives essential.
- Must have a clear understanding of global
supply chain challenges.
- International business and commercial exposure
would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of key company business practices
and processes.
- Fresh produce industry understanding would be
an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh.
400,000 - 600,000/= (Approx. 4,000 - 6,000 USD) depending on experience
