Job Summary
The candidate is responsible for prudently managing finances and the books of accounts as well some aspects of Administration.
- Posting
all accounting transactions in the accounting software
- Ensure
all accounting ledgers are well updated on a daily basis i.e. debtors,
suppliers, assets, petty cash etc
- Processing
bank, suppliers, debtors and other ledger reconciliations
- Prepare
payroll and make monthly remittances of PAYE, NHIF, NSSF etc
- Processing
payments to all creditors
- Maintaining
all financial records
- Providing
account statements as and when required
- Manage
receivables and maintain strict control of the debtors list
- Prepare
management reports and present to directors
- Manage
the cash flows
- Liaise
with the banks
Job Requirements – Education, Skills and Experience
- At
least four years relevant experience
- Must
have experience working in the Travel industry
- Must
have experience using a travel accounting software
- At
be a CPA (K) with Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent
- Ability
to manage books of accounts
- Strong
analytical skills
- Good
interpersonal skills
- Should
demonstrate unquestionable integrity, honesty and confidentiality
- Should
be self-motivated, with ability to work effectively and efficiently
under high pressure
- Have
a good level of time management, responsiveness and resilience
- Excellent administration skills
