Vacancy: Dispatch Clerk
(Must be from the supermarket industry)Main Purpose of Job: To ensure that the correct documentation is generated according to the Company Policies and Procedures, when goods are being dispatched from the store.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure a Security Officer is present
whenever dispatching is done and when the roller-shutter door is open.
- To ensure that all ITB's have the correct
documentation and are timeously dispatched. All ITB's must be checked in
detail before loading.
- To ensure that all goods dispatched have the
correct documentation i.e. customer deliveries, customer collections,
ITB's, CCV's, repairs and Service center stock.
- To ensure documentation is followed in
sequence e.g. delivery schedules and delivery notes.
- To supervise the ITB being picked up.
- Follow up on all outstanding ITB's, CCV's and
customer deliveries.
- Maintain an efficient Dispatch bay – all
cartons are clearly marked with details of store number and ITB number.
- All SATS containers to be dispatched timeously
to avoid damage (if applicable).
Security
- Ensure adherence to Company legislated
procedures within the store in order to keep shrinkage to the minimum.
- Ensure that appropriate measures are taken to
secure the assets of the Company.
Systems
- Must have a full understanding and knowledge of
all computer systems within the store.
Policies and Procedures
- Must have a full understanding and knowledge
of all Company policies and procedures and must ensure that they are
adhered to.
General
- Assists with stock-take preparations.
- Undertake any other duties as requested by the
Distribution Manager.
