We are looking for engaged, dynamic and motivated
professionals to work as part of the Information Technology Services Unit in
the role of ITS Systems Senior Administrator.
What is Information Technology
Services: KPMG‘s IT Services unit is an
internal Business Support Service whose priority is to support the firm in
achieving its strategic priorities by offering technical expertise in
Technology.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the KPMG
host servers and active connectivity equipment by monitoring system
performance, configuration, maintenance and repair;
- High level network management. VLANs
configuration and troubleshooting. High level understanding of Cisco
hardware, troubleshooting & configuration;
- Establish, maintain and oversee the KPMG
active directory. Cleanup of AD system to ensure lean and efficient AD
structure. Install modify and maintain systems and utility software on
server computer systems. Provide server support related to other software;
- Establish guidelines and methods for the
installation and management of the host computer operating systems, disk
arrays, fibre channel switches, tape libraries and other components;
- Ensure high availability and acceptable levels
of performance of critical host server resources as per SLA;
- Develop procedures, programs and documentation
for backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based
applications;
- Provide leadership in planning and
implementation of projects for computer operations and enterprise systems
administration;
- Manage the data centre and computer host
systems including hardware, software and equipment such as
air-conditioning system, UPS (uninterrupted power system) and fire
protection system;
- Disaster recovery site configuration, testing
and maintenance;
- Unified communication solutions and trouble shooting.
Mobile data connectivity using Blackberry and secured with Mobile Iron;
- Microsoft Lynx Unified communications
configuration and trouble shooting, including video conferencing/
Telepresence management;
- Windows server management.
Minimum Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in the computer Science or
related discipline with at least 5 years work experience in complex
systems design, MS Servers systems software and support;
- Knowledge of Operating systems; current
equipment and technologies in use; Windows Server 2003/2008, Microsoft
Exchange 2003/ 2010, VERITAS enterprise backup and recovery procedures;
- Domain expertise with MS Operating systems,
Active Directory and MS Exchange required. MSCE considered;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating
Systems (Windows Server 2003/2008, Windows XP/7/8 etc.);
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory group
policies design and implementation;
- Working knowledge of server hardware (RAID,
clustering, virtualization, etc.);
- Experience in installing, managing, and
troubleshooting of Cisco networks/equipment, and
- Solid knowledge of ISA, TCP/IP protocol, DHCP,
DNS, etc.
- DRP Knowledge
- SCCM working and configuration management
Skills and Attributes
- Possess a proven and consistent track record
for at least four years in ITS work;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Good spoken and written English language
skills;
- Ability to undertake multiple parts of an
assignment;
- Have demonstrable enthusiasm, drive and
initiative; and Ability to interpret complex technological matters.
