Furaha Community
Foundation is a non - profit, non - governmental organization operating in
Huruma, Nairobi.
Furaha’s poverty
alleviation program targets OVC’s, their guardians and other marginalized
members of the community through provision of quality education, quality health
care, vocational skills training and micro credit for small businesses.
We invite interns /
volunteers in the following fields:
- Project monitoring and evaluation
- Social work /Community Development
- Communications / media
- Accounts
- IT
They should be
fresh graduates (Degree or Diploma holder) or those in their final year of
college/university.
The ideal
candidates must be willing to undergo unpaid internship for periods between 3
to 6 months with at least six hours each day.
Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an engaging personality
- Be diligent and efficient and possess self initiative
- Flexibility and ability to work in a team as well as computer literate
- Have a passion to serve vulnerable slum communities
