We are an
Ostrich Farm and Resort located on the outskirts of Nairobi on the
Nairobi-Namanga Highway.
Due to an
expansion project that has seen our capacity increase, we are seeking
applications from suitable candidates to fill the following position;
Administration Assistant
Reporting to the
unit manager, the successful candidate will provide administrative and
secretarial support to the Resort
Main Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to the company in order to facilitate smooth operations.
- Operate a range of office machines such as photocopiers, computers etc
- Re-ordering department supplies such as letter heads, stationary, etc
- Updating and following up delegated tasks to ensure progress is made as per agreed deadlines.
- Maintains administrative supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies, write business letters, reports or office memoranda using word processing programs
Minimum qualifications
- O level education with a mean grade average of C (plain)
- 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Diploma in Secretarial studies/business administration
Front Office Supervisor
Responsible for
supervising and controlling all front office operation to the set standard and
ensure guest is satisfied and their expectations are met. Reporting to the unit
manager.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure that reservation are taken promptly, registration and rooms are allocated in correct manner
- Ensure that check in and checks out of guest procedure are strictly adhered to.
- Ensure that all charges are correctly entered on the guest account/bill
- Ensure that front office operation are carried out systematically
- Ensure there is effective communication with other department regarding bookings or special guest arrangement
- Ensure that front office staff are disciplined and well groomed
Minimum qualifications:
- Degree in hotel management or equivalent.
- Major in front office operation
- At least 3 years’ experience in the same field
Head Housekeeper
To oversee
cleanliness and hygiene of the entire Resort to t the required standards and to
the guests’ expectations. He/she will be reporting to the Unit Manager.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure that there is provision of clean guest rooms, conferences and other public areas
- To oversee the provision of guest amenities and room supplies
- Ensure that there is availability of linen for the rooms
- Report major defect, faults and breakages to the maintenance staff for renovation/repair
Minimum qualifications:
- K.C.S.E C +
- At least with three years and above experience in the same field
- Diploma in housekeeping and laundry management
Laundry Attendant / Linen
Keeper
He/she will be
required to Ensure that there is provision of clean and sanitized resort linen and guest laundry to the required
standards and to the guest expectation. He/she will be reporting to head house
keeper.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure that there is clean and hygienic working environment
- Report defect, faults and breakages to the laundry supervisor for repair
- Maintain set standards and economical use of cleaning materials
- Ensure that there is no wastage of utilities in line with set standards and procedures
Qualifications:
- K.C.S.E C-
- Certificate in housekeeping/laundry
Room Stewards
Will be
responsible in ensuring clean, hygienic and sanitized rooms for the guest
comfort ability, he/she will be reporting to head housekeeper
Minimum qualifications:
- K.C.S.E C-
- One year and above in the same field
- Certificate in housekeeping
Restaurant Supervisor
To supervise
restaurant section to the required standards to ensure good service delivery to
clients/customer.
He/she will be
reporting to Restaurant Manager
Duties and responsibilities
- Ensure that the restaurant is clean and tidily arranged
- Ensure that set up is done on time in the restaurant.
- Ensure fault and defects in the restaurant are reported on time
- Ensure delivery of service in the restaurant is up to set standards
- Ensure proper use of operating equipment and that they are not abused
- Ensure correct stocks are timely requested and well stored
Minimum
Qualifications
- K.C.S .E C Plain
- Diploma in food and beverage
- At least 2 years and above experienced
Bar Tender
Responsible for
preparing and serving drinks to customer. He/she will be reporting to the
Restaurant Supervisor
Duties and responsibilities
- Ensuring courteous service to customer
- Ensuring that all bar stock are timely requested and correct stock level are maintained
- Ensuring that the bar is well arranged and set
- Ensuring all bar statutory and general regulation affecting safety are adhered to
- Ensuring clients are charged for the drinks consumed ( operate cash register)
- Ensuring cocktails are prepared according to drink recipes
Minimum Qualifications
- K.C.S.E C plain
- Diploma in food & beverage- bar knowledge
- At least 3 years and above in the same field
Food & Beverage Service
Responsible for
preparing the dining room for service, serve customer in a professional,
efficient and courteous manner through offering the best and quality service.
Reporting to
Restaurant Supervisor
Duties and responsibilities
- Ensuring that the restaurant is clean before service ( mis-en-place)
- Setting up of the restaurant ensuring that it is done on time
- Delivering service in the restaurant up to set standards
- Ensuring that captain orders are raised and billing is done
- Closing duty by ensuring that all used crockery, silverware and glassware are cleaned and polished for next incoming shift
Minimum Qualifications
- K.C.S E C-
- Certificate in food and beverage
- At least 6 months working experience
