Christian University (PAC University) is a Chartered institution of higher
learning seeking to fill the following senior positions in the following fields
with an aim to strengthen leadership and innovation in the departments and in
other University level initiatives.
1) Associate Professor
in Business Department (1 Position): The applicant must possess an
earned PhD degree in Business Administration with specialization in either
Finance or Accounting.
2) Associate Professor
in Bible & Theology (1 Position): The applicant should have a
strong Theological background and possess an earned PhD in Biblical Studies or
Theology or equivalent.
3) Associate Professor
in Counseling Psychology (1 Position): The applicant must possess an
earned PhD degree in any relevant branch of Psychology. A bias in Marriage
& Family Therapy will be an added advantage.
4) Campus Coordinator
(1 Position): The purpose for the position is to have a strong and reliable
leadership at the Valley Road Campus to ensure growth, quality teaching, and
learning.
The person will
participate in marketing of PAC University programs as well as overseeing all
the administrative function of the Campus related to Staff Management and
University.
The applicant
should possess an earned PhD either in Theology, Business or Counseling
Psychology and have at least 3 years of University Teaching.
Key Responsibilities for Associate Professors:
- Exercise academic leadership for all subject area activities – teaching and research as appropriate.
- Design, develop, and deliver a range of programmes of study at various levels.
- Lead the development and implementation of teaching and learning strategy.
- Lead and coordinate research activity in the subject area.
- Supervise theses and projects at the postgraduate level.
- Contribute to the development of academic policies across the institution.
- Promote and market the work of the Department in the subject area.
Requirements for Associate Professors:
- Have at least four (4) years teaching experience as a Senior Lecturer in relevant area.
- Have successfully supervised at least four (4) Masters Students or two (2) PhD students since being appointed Senior Lecturer.
- Show evidence of continuing research including having published at least four (4) articles in refereed journals or two (2) articles in refereed journals plus one (1) book by a reputable publisher since their appointment as Senior Lecturers.
- Mature evangelical Christian who subscribes to the PAC University’s Statement of Faith.
