Main Tasks and
Responsibilities
·
Driving assigned motor vehicle as authorized,

Routine checks and maintenance of the vehicle,

Maintenance of work tickets;

Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of the vehicles defects

Carrying authorized passengers or goods
·
Ensuring safety of passengers/goods
·
Carrying out first Aid
·
Ensuring cleanness and overall maintenance and management of
vehicle
Qualifications
·
KCSE Mean Grade D Plain or its equivalent qualifications from a
recognized institution.

A valid driving license.
·
Suitability test for drivers grade III conducted by the Ministry
of Roads
·
A valid certificate of good conduct from the Kenya Police.
·
Defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association
(AA) of Kenya or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution is
an added advantage.
·
First – Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one (1)
week from St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highways and Building
Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution is an added advantage.

Served in the grade of Plant Operator III for a minimum of three
years.
·
Past occupation trade test III for plant operators.
·
Ability to operate at least two machines of ‘difficult rating’
B.
·
KCSE Mean Grade D Plain or its equivalent qualifications from a
recognized institution

A valid driving license( special class)
·
Suitability test for drivers grade III conducted by the Ministry
of Roads
·
First Aid Certificate coarse lasting not less than one (1) week
from St.John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology

Showing merit and ability as reflected in work performance and

Duties and
Responsibilities
·
Operating heavy earth moving equipment of different ratings as
authorized.
·
Keeping monthly records of services of the plants.
·
Preparing monthly and weekly service schedules and ensuring they
are followed.
·
Guiding turnboys and machine attendance
·
Repairing minor defects on machines
·
Liaising with the officer incharge for major repairs
·
Supervising cleanliness of the plant and assisting in training
junior plant operators.

(Electrician)

Qualifications
Served in the
grade of Artisan I or in a comparable and relevant position for at least three
years in public sector or nine years in private sector; shown merit and ability
in work performance and results.
Duties and
Responsibilities
Coordinate and
supervise staff in improvement works, general repairs and maintenance.
The officer will
also be responsible for record keeping, allocation of duties, management of
workshops and training of junior staff in line with their area of
specialization.
Artisan II - Plumber
Job Group ‘F’
1 Post
Work at this
level will involve undertaking improvement works, repair works and maintenance
of Government buildings and facilities in their areas of specialization
(carpentry, Masonry, Welding, Painting and Plumbing).
Qualifications/Requirements
Serve in the
grade of Artisan III or in a comparable and relevant position in the public
Service for at least three years; shown merit and ability in work performance
and results.
