Financial Accountant Job in Kenya

South Nyanza Sugar Company Limited (SonySugar), a key player in the sugar industry in Kenya, wishes to enhance its human capital base by filling the following senior management position with a talented and qualified Kenyan citizen:-

Financial Accountant

Reporting to Head of Finance, Financial Accountant will be responsible for; 

·                     To ensure effective control and accountability on financial resources.

·                     Ensure accurate financial accounting systems and up to date records.

·                     Prepare cash flow projections and control cash disbursements.

·                     Ensure compliance with legislative and accounting standards.

·                     Ensure bank reconciliation.

·                     Approval of all reimbursements of petty cash requisitions.

·                     Preparation of senior management payroll.

·                     Ensure the preparations and payments of other staff salaries and wages.

·                     Interface sub-ledgers and ensure reconciliation of the General Ledger.

·                     Ensure preparation of Annual Financial Statements.

·                     Submit monthly statutory returns Coordinate External Audit function.

·                     Preparation of other financial reports as may be required by management.

Job Specification

·                     B. Com (accounting option) 5 years’ work experience reporting at a senior level CPA (K) /ACCA

·                     Post graduate qualification in relevant field (an added advantage)

·                     Must be a member of a professional body.

·                     Knowledge of computerized financial systems and Ms Office applications.

·                     Ability to work with minimum supervision.

·                     Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
