Established in
1958, Education Development Center (EDC) addresses urgent challenges in
education, health and economic development for young people.
EDC invites
applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Technical Manager,
EDC Healthstrat Adolescent Health Project.
EDC seeks
applicants to lead and manage an integrated services delivery program for
Kenyan youth in Nairobi.
Responsibilities include:
Providing sexual
and reproductive health, HIV care and support, drug and alcohol preventive
messaging, and other services to young people traditionally outside the health
system.
The technical
manager will support services with CCC staff on youth clinic days at two sites,
be the lynchpin to manage the program impact at community and clinic levels,
produce required deliverables, and implement creative approaches per the work
plan.
Required Skills
EDC seeks
candidates with a clinical officer or nursing background and MPH, project
management and reporting experience, and self-directed work style.
CDC or USAID
project-level experience and FP/SRH behavior change experience preferred.
Should have
completed in-service courses in psychosocial care and comprehensive care for
PLWHA per NASCOP.
Must have a
demonstrated commitment to young people, their rights, and overall
wellbeing--especially youth living-with or affected-by HIV and AIDS.
