Sourcing Officers / Merchandizing Experts

The ideal
candidates will be responsible for sourcing for professional garment factories
that will make garments for the company in Kenya.
The candidates
must have a strong background in woven and knit fabrics and must have sold in
the textile industry.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Sourcing for the best professional garment factories that will make garments for the company
- Placing garment production orders to any local export oriented garment factories
- Doing costing for the particular brand garments with the respective factories
- Carrying out sample-making order to the factory within the cost and then evaluating the factory
- Giving the bulk production order with a shipment timeline once the sample is approved
- Following up whether the respective factory is producing the actual products once they start production of garments
Skills and Qualification
- Degree/Diploma in Sales and Marketing from a reputable institution
- Minimum 6 years hands on experience in sales in the textile industry
- MUST have experience in woven and knit fabrics
- Excellent Interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
- Must be a strong team player
