Summary
Urysia Ltd holds
the Peugeot franchise in Kenya and over the last two years has experienced
tremendous growth with key highlights in commissioning the Bunyala road branch;
one of the largest in Africa that meets international standards and aimed at
regaining the confidence of Peugeot customers in quality and service delivery.
In light of
these plans, Urysia ltd is looking to recruit a Financial Controller.
This position
will safeguard and optimize the utilization of the Company’s financial
resources through implementation of appropriate accounting systems and internal
controls that ensures accurate and timely production of financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and update existing financial systems in line with changing environment
- Monitor the preparation of periodic accounting and management reports and ensure accuracy and timely preparation. Present financial reports to the management team and follow up the implementation of action plans
- Monitor working capital and initiate appropriate action including enhancing revenue collection, FOREX, investment and stock management
- Oversight of accurate preparation of annual accounts, annual financial budgets and review of variance reports with department heads and initiate control measures.
- Set performance targets for departmental staff, allocate work, monitor and review performance, identify shortfalls and ensure that staff are motivated to achieve the expected work standards.
- Coordinate yearly external audits and other audits as they occur
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounts, Finance, Commerce or Economics,
- CPA (K) / ACCA Member
- At least 8 years’ experience in financial management, with 5 years in management level or comparable position
- Extensive knowledge of setting of budgets, reporting, inventory control systems and accounting.
- Experience in Strategy development and implementation

- Strategic and analytical skills;
- Ability to drive change and innovation
