Clearing and Forwarding Sales Executive 

Salary: KShs 30,000 - 40,000

Our client is a Clearing and Forwarding firm dealing in Transport and Logistics. They are seeking a Clearing and Forwarding Sales Executive to join their team.

The main purpose of this job is to increase the organizations business by identifying clients requiring Clearing and Forwarding as well as maintaining relationships with them.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Preparing and delivering sales presentations in a confident and clear manner
  • Identify business opportunities and closing deals
  • Handling documentation related to clearing and forwarding, including insurance forms and dispatch forms
  • Following up closely on the customs/clearance formalities and delivery process
  • Ensuring that the services sold are compliant to company and government rules and regulations
  • Understanding routing information and ensuring that carriers are properly licensed
  • Understanding how to track goods on various routes
  • Remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
  • Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
  • Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops Establishing and growing personal networks
  • Maintaining best practices
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Diploma in clearing and forwarding
  • Bachelors Degree will be an added advantage
  • At least 2 years prior experience in a similar job in a busy environment
  • Good communication skills and positive attitude
  • Reliable, honest and be a person of good Integrity
  • Should have good supervisory and organizational skills
  • Able to set and maintain high quality standards
  • Must be computer literate
  • Able to work well with others
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Experience in international clearing and forwarding will be an added advantage
  • Basic understanding of clearing and forwarding regulations
