placed on empowering people with disabilities through their integration into
mainstream development activities and the provision of appropriate health and
rehabilitation services to ensure equal opportunities for all.
The rehabilitation
project in Dadaab aims to provide and secure tangible and measurable
improvement of independency in activities of daily living and quality of life
of refugees living with physical impairment or disability.
The
Position
Under the
responsibility of the Field logistician, the Field Logistics and Finance
Assistant will assist in the smooth running of the logistic activities and in
the management of accounts and cash flow in compliance with Handicap
International's internal regulations.
He/she will be responsible for :-
Finance
- Guaranteeing
that the accounts are kept in good order.
- Managing the
cash flow.
Logistics
- Continuous
updating of Purchase Service Request (PSR) Monitoring Chart
- Assisting in the
procurement of goods and services and also updating the supplier data base
- Responsible for
travel requirements,bookings, movement plans/ requests and accommodation
- Stores
maintenance, stock management and updating warehouse records according to
HI procedures and policies
- Fleet management
Qualifications
and skills required
- Diploma in
Purchasing and Supplies with at least 2 years practical experience in
logistics or
- Any other
relevant Diploma with at least 3 years practical experience in Logistics
- At least 2 years
working experience with an International NGO or local NGO
- Proven
experience in accounts keeping, budget monitoring and reporting
- Should possess
the following attributes organization skills ,team player, good
communication, problem solving, innovative, attention to details and cost
conscious
