Position
The University of Nairobi (UoN) in collaboration with the University of Washington (UW) aims to support the Kenyan National HIV response by strengthening the national program capacity through a training fellowship program.
The UoN through the
Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (UNITID) has established the
University of Nairobi Fellowship Program funded by the U.S. President’s
Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the Centres for Disease Control
and Prevention (CDC).
University of Nairobi Fellowship Program seeks to recruit a Communications Assistant.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the incumbent will be based in Nairobi and responsible for enhancing the visibility and reputation of the organization across the media, public and key stakeholders.

Applicants
must have:
- Degree in
Communications/Marketing .
- Must possess
strong IT skills
- Minimum 1
years experience working as an communications assistant in a donor
funded program
- Excellent
English writing and editorial skills.
- Strong social
media and online skills
- Proficiency in
Word, and Excel
- Ability to
communicate with various stakeholders
The
successful applicant will
- Ensure fair
representativeness and visibility of UON HIV Fellowship
- Monitor media
coverage of the organization and media engagement and activities.
- Produce
content and update the organization's website,
- Write, edit and
oversee the design of print and online materials such as newsletters,
brochures and the website
- Using social
media to promote awareness,
- Collate and
monitor quarterly, semi annual and annual reporting
- Support in the
coordination of communicational aspects of core events and workshops
organized
- Provide
administrative support to the Training Coordinator and Monitoring &
Evaluation Manager
