Position:
Mechanical Technicians (Plant)
Location: Nairobi
Industry: FMCG
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment
overhauls: pneumatic fans, lowers, gearbox repairs, pump repairs and
compressor repairs
- Service and
maintain all plant machines and equipment
- Carry out all
total productive maintenance (TPM)
- Schedule and
bill materials
- Carry out
welding and fabrication including arc welding, oxy acetylene and soldering
- Carry out
autonomous maintenance and ranking of machines
- Pillar head in
fire safety, HACCP. Hazard identification and accident prevention
- Participate in
Kaizen projects and power point presentation of the same
- Writing
maintenance reports for the management
Qualification/Experience
- At least a
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Plant Option). A Higher National
Diploma is an added advantage
- 4-6 years
experience in maintenance and repair of plant machines with at least 2
years in a food manufacturing company
- Skills in
handling machines and tools including Press, boilers,
Degermers, Conveyors, Elevators, Scales, Air locks, Sifters, Compressor,
Smag, printing machine, gang slitting, milling, blower
- Must have
AutoCAD working knowledge
