Inventory Officer
 
Job Summary:
 
The inventory officer is responsible for the day to day operations of the stores department

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Issuance of products to various concerned personnel as requisition
  • Co-coordinating and advising on stock movement by ensuring there are accurate and up to date stocks
  • Carrying out monthly/ weekly stock takes and giving reports on the same to management.
  • Inspecting and verification of all received materials to ensure that they meet organizational standards.
  • Making requisitions and order proposals.
  • Initiate the process of stock replenishment.
  • Make recommendations to the management on matters pertaining to receiving, storage and dispatch of products.
  • Coordinate with user departments to identify stock requirements
  • Continuously monitor the stock levels to ensure optimum stock levels are maintained, while ensuring no stock outs.
  • Maintenance of accurate stock records.

Educational Qualifications
  • Diploma in supplies and procurement / Bachelors Degree in purchasing and supplies
  • Member of professional body
Required Experience
  • Should have two years experience
