As part of our
growth, strategies, we are recruiting a high caliber, qualified, innovative and
self-driven individual with an enviable track record of employment within the
agriculture sector for a newly created position of Chief
Operations Manager.
Specifically
you will be responsible for at least the following tasks:-
- Identifying
additional business opportunities and development of new products within
the farm.
- Research and
Development.
- Development and
implementation of growth and marketing strategies.
- Preparation of
budget to support overall farm operations.
- Liaison with
heads of departments and coordination of operations in all departments and
other service lines.
- Risks assessment
and risks management.
- Coordination of
production, marketing, sales and transport.
- Projects
management to include defining scope of work, staffing and funding
proposal.
- Establishment of
annual action plans in line with periodical strategic plans.
- Provide overall
direction and monitoring of all business activities in line with the
strategic plans.
- Human Resource Management
to include career development and capacity building.
- Overall
coordination of daily operations of the farm.
- Other duties as
assigned by the board from time to time.
Minimum
Job Requirement
- Degree in
Agriculture.
- Masters Degree
in agriculture related discipline.
- Ten years hands
on/demonstratable experience in a large scale farming environment in a
senior position.
- Excellence
communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven,
ability to work under pressure and team player.
- Excellent
leadership and analytical skills.
- Thorough
knowledge of Kenyan and International markets for agricultural products.
Remuneration package
