from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Operations Manager,
FSS who will be reporting to MD.
The position will be based
in Juba, South Sudan.
This is an opportunity to
join the core team of management board members (made up of the CEO, MD, DOO,
other senior Managers and Directors) and participate in the growth of the
institution.
About the Job:
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Manage all
aspects of MFI operations planning, loan portfolio generation and
management to ensure achievement of set targets as per the annual work
plans, including preparation, implementation and monitoring of branch
operational budgets.
- Implement
and/or develop systems, structures and resources to support the growth of
the institution;
- Plan for and
drive FSS business growth in terms of clientele, loan portfolio and
quality, including savings mobilization after transformation.
- Manage day
to day delivery of demand-driven and cost-effective services to clients in
the area of operation, making recommendations for improvement and
implement audit recommendations.
- Monitor
progress towards operational and financial self-sufficiency through
improved loan collections and staff productivity; design interventions and
adjust policies to improve performance and outreach.
- Ensure
services delivered are consistently supported by well documented policies
and procedures, well understood by all staff throughout the organisation.
- Manange,
supervise the improvement and standardization of client training to ensure
maximum client retention.
- Ensure
effective performance monitoring and development programs for staff
- Ensure
knowledge transfer, coaching and developing local staff skills in areas of
expertise;
- Prepare and
submit periodic statistical and summarized reports with specific
recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain
good relationships with local partners and authorities.
Requirements: Qualification, Experience and Competencies/skills
- Master’s
degree in Business Administration/Accounting/Economics/Finance;
- Fluency in
English imperative.
- At least 10
to 15 years of working experience of which at least 5 years in high level
management positions in financial services (microfinance retail banking or
financial institutions);
- Work
experience in MDI, developing countries/post conflict situation will be an
added advantage;
- Excellent
entrepreneurial, leadership, planning, and organization skills, result
oriented;
- Excellent
interpersonal conflict management and communication skills;
- Intercultural
sensitivity, stress resistant, and resilient.
- Well versed
in people management, highly analytical, with good planning and
coordination skills.
- Be a
self-starter, energetic individual who can work without supervision.
- An
